So, we had our first (and probably last) garage sale over the 4th of July weekend. I have a cute Kaylee story to share...
Kaylee saw her yellow princess shirt on the table at the garage sale. The next thing I know she is standing in the garage with a death grip on it, and she wants to take it inside.
I take her inside to watch cartoons. As we are going into the house I ask her if she is going to hide her shirt so Mommy won't sell it. She responds, YES!
A little while later I hear her calling for me from the living room. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy..." you know, she keeps saying it until I actually walk into the room. She hands me the yellow princess shirt and says she wants to put it on. Before I have even taken it from her, her arms are flung into the air. This is her sign to take off the current shirt. So, we put the princess shirt on.
Not only did she wear it all day Friday, she wore it to bed Friday night. In the morning I tried to change her clothes again. I was allowed to put new shorts on her, but the yellow princess shirt had to stay.
It was not until after the garage sale sign had been pulled from the front yard did the shirt come off.
This story would not have been nearly as funny if the shirt hadn't been two sizes too small.
Here she is on the evening of day one...you gotta love the inch of skin hanging out around the bottom of the shirt. One word - classy!
