Take Shower

Kaylee took her first shower Saturday afternoon. Here are a couple of pics to commemorate the occasion.

We are averaging about four 'take shower, take shower' requests a day now. I guess you could call it good, clean fun!

Vacation Pics

As promised, here are a few pics of our recent vacation to Florida.

Kaylee's Vacation

Cory and I went to Florida (pics to be posted soon) and Kaylee stayed with Grandpa Steve and Grandma Kay for part of our trip. So, Kaylee had a little vacation away from Mommy & Daddy. She did all kinds of fun stuff while we were away including pizza making. Here are some cute photos of her and PawPaw Steve making pizza.

Happy Birthday Lukus!

Saturday afternoon Scott & Janelle had a birthday party for Lukus. Here are a few pics from the party. Little Lukus is such a cutie.
Lukus wanted to put the candle out using his finger instead of blowing it out.
Kaylee had lots of fun playing with Lukus' tricycle...
...and Lukus had tons of fun walking/running with Kaylee's walker.
This is what Kaylee looked like after the party. Too much fun!!!

Kaylee's Birthday

Here are a few pics from Kaylee's birthday party. She had a great time and loved the Dora ice cream cake.

Thanks mom for letting me use your camera while mine was lost. Yes, Cory did find it in a box in the garage. :)

Cute story - in the days following Kaylee's birthday party we have been eating leftover ice cream cake. Not only do we eat the cake, we have a miniature birthday party each time. It requires candles, singing the birthday song and cheering for Kaylee when she blows the candles out. We did this routine for about 10 days.

More Good News!

Yesterday was Kaylee's annual case conference at the school. We received an awesome report!

Kaylee has made incredible progress over the past year. The school is recommending that Kaylee go to preschool in a community environment in August. Instead of being in the special needs classroom at the elementary school, she will be going to a local preschool (church affiliated) with other children her age. She will continue to receive physical and occupational therapy from the school system. They will visit her while she is at preschool. The cost of community preschool is also paid for by the school.

We are so proud of Kaylee and all the progress she has made. We are truly blessed! Thank you to all of you who have been faithfully praying for her.

By the way, birthday pics are forthcoming. I may have temporarily misplaced my camera (OK, I lost it) and had to borrow mom's for the birthday party. So, I'll get with her and get the party posted.
